Note: The 260K stub installer from Check Point requires you to maintain an Internet connection during installation for the full download of the ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite package. The total download is approximately 51MB.

ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite protects you at every level, from the deepest layers of your operating system to the physical world. Includes Antivirus, Anti-Spyware, Identity Theft Protection, Operating System Firewall, Network and Program Firewall, IM Protection, Parental Control, E-mail Security, Auto-Learn, Game Mode.

Version 8.0.015 includes a new interface, a smaller download, faster installation, improved boot times, and revamped real-world identity protection.

• "A one-stop security solution"

ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 requires a small initial download that in turn launches a full download of the latest version of the program from Check Point. Installation requires a reboot. A helpful wizard walks you through the initial setup.

The new interface is cleaner, less complicated, and more modern. The other new features within ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 are less visible and mostly under the hood. Boot time is much faster in this latest version, as are the individual scans for antivirus (using the Kaspersky Anti-Virus engine) and antispyware (Check Point's own engine). The suite includes spam protection from SonicWall, and, of course, Check Point's award-winning firewall. The paid edition includes identity-protection coverage. Missing is antiphishing and safe-browsing protection; these are available from Check Point Force Field and not yet a part of the ZoneAlarm Internet Security suite.

ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 does include an uninstall icon in the All Programs listing, and uninstalls cleanly. But keeping the 15-day trial installed might be a better idea; if you do decide not to purchase the full program at $49, Check Point keeps the basic ZoneAlarm firewall active on your desktop.

  "Cannot stand anymore zone alarm "updates""

  Pros: The early versions of zone alarm were OK.

  Cons: Their following updates were dysfunctional and worked at cross purposes to the rest of the operating system. Their customer service is non-existent.

  "only anti-virus I would pay for."

  Pros: I have had no problems since upgrading my free version to the paid suite. It is very quick to block a threat and lets you know what its doing and why its doing it. Especially good a closing the door on p2p site threats.

  Cons: full scan is S- L- O- W- but extremely thorough

  "Here is a necessary fix you can do yourself"

  Pros: startup time decreases the longer you use it
  full security

  Cons: 'phones home' and keeps checking registration.
  dont see any 'upgrade' from their earlier 7.4 version
  no longer has instant messaging protection or encryption

  Summary: Here is a LEGAL workaround for the license 'phone home':

  "Great But..."

  Pros: As all my previous preview about ZA, It always GREAT.
  The interface is clean an neat,lighter. Always have the best protection

  Cons: After downloading it i go to Trial Mode !!
  I used to have a FULL operational ZA (Only upgrading !!)
  I will quit using ZA if no explanation from ZA

  Summary: How can i, as an always pro ZA as the best ware. Then be fooled to have updating to a full 8.0 version as a TRIAL MODE.
  How disgusting !! I don't have the old license key number anymore..what should i do?

  "I HAVE BEEN CHEATED AND ROBBED????????"

  Pros: great protection.....

  Cons: Since the updated version 4 days ago (which I was told to update) I was told my licence key was switched to the trial version.I still had 4 months left.I emailed ZA 3 times with no reply.The Bas****s!

  Summary: I had 123 days left on my ZA product.It switched to the trial version with no reply off the ZA team.Cheating robbing Bas****s!!!!!!!!1
