Publisher's description of Radmin Server and Viewer 3
From Famatech:Radmin (Remote Administrator) is a popular, award winning secure remote control software which enables you to work on a remote computer in real time as if you were using its own keyboard and mouse. You can remotely access the same computer from multiple places, using File Transfer, Text and Voice Chat, Telnet, Messaging, View Only and Full Control mode with Multiple Monitor support in addition to other useful features. Radmin utilizes unique DirectScreenTransfer technology that provides unprecedented speed with minimal CPU usage.
Radmin 3 fully supports Windows Vista 32 bit, including User Account Control and Fast User Switching. Radmin user authentication is substantiated by a modified Diffie-Hellman 2048 bit algorithm. Advanced 256-bit AES encryption is always enabled for all data streams being transferred over the connection. Other security features include Windows Security, IP Filtration, self testing Code Defense, NTLM/Kerberos and Active Directory support.

Version: Radmin Server and Viewer 3
"3 highlights for v3: Very fast, user-friendly, and even more secure."
Pros: The list of new features in Radmin 3.0 is very impressive! Famatech has done a great job. Here are some very important features for me and my company:
- New Video Hook Driver (makes Radmin 3.0 work much faster than 2.x)
- New text and voice chats (essential for remote presentation needs)
- Radmin Viewer 3.0 is now much more powerful and user-friendly
- Various color modes for Remote Screen: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 24 bits (so that you can adjust the color depth according to the internet connection speed)
- Improved security
- New installation wizard (easier to install/uninstall)
- Nice remote screen toolbar
- Fully support Windows Vista (no lugs, no bugs, and works perfect)
Cons: Remote keyboard and mouse lock are missing as well as blank remote screen feature :( But Famatech developers posted on their forum that these features will be available in the next version. Anyway Radmin is one of the best for the price :)

Version: Radmin Server and Viewer 3
"This may be a good program but the company behind it is so goofed up!"
Pros: seems to work but only after numerous attempts of messing around with my network/windows settings.
Cons: I have had one bad experience after another with these people. I purchased 2 licenses, one in Dec, one in Jan. While setting it up for the first time, I went to their site and help files looking for instructions on the 2.2 version. not good. I don't have anything fancy, windows xp pro and a Linksys router. I called support and was told that i should have never purchased it because it's only for network administrators and not for the average computer user. After much messing around, i finally figured out how to get things working no thanks to them.
Feb. 5th they decided to upgrade to version 3 and no longer support version 2.2 (which I only owned for 2-3 months). The really crazy part about all this is is that if you owned the program a long time, you got a free upgrade, if you just recently purchased it, you had to pay (a little backwards don't you think?).
Now even this wouldnt have been too bad if it would have been a straight forward simple process, but they made this impossible too. They didnt have their site set up for upgrading. You were to download a trial version and use that until they were ready for you. So I did just that. They said theyd write me with the upgrade info when it was available, but they didnt. I went to the site, and even though I had my keys and sales receipts, I still havent been able to get things squared away.
With so many problems with this company, it only leaves me wondering just how secure things really are with this program. I sure hope their programmers did a better job than the people in the business office.

Version: Radmin Server and Viewer 3
Pros: Must have for everyone who remotely connects to computers. Very easy and powerful. Does many things which you cannot do with Windows Remote Desktop.
Cons: Hadn't discovered yet.
