From DigicamSoft:Namexif is a utility to automatically rename photos with the date they were shot. Actually, digital cameras have their own clock and write the date to each photos with a precision of a second. Since the date and time is recorded for each photos (provided it is an EXIF compliant digital camera), Namexif is able to rename these photos according to the date.

"It helps organize the photo collections"
Pros: Choice of the name after proceeding
Cons: I would like an option, that I can write a new part of the name in front of the date and time stamps.
e.g. Sport 2007-06-14 12.00.00

"UI a bit quirky, but does what is says and does it well"
Pros: Does exactly what it says - renames photo files accordingly to the date they were taken (part of the EXIF info).
Cons: Slightly quirky UI, but once you're used to it this is no problem at all
