Pros: Its an absolutely great product. The interface is something to be proud of, very intuitive and simple. The product as a whole itself, is very functional and stresses more on getting the job done with minimum fuss. The add-on functionality is just great and the theming would put Vista to shame. Importing data from other clients is a breeze, plus the composition functionality is very well rounded with little tweaks here and there that really help.
Cons: None that I have found so far.

"Beats Outlook express hands down."
Pros: Fast, as you type spell checker, lots of security features, very customizable, Free, Handles POP and IMAP, Easy to learn.

Pros: We were previouly using one computer with Outlook Express for three different users/e-mail accounts (parents and 2 kids) and it was a pain in the bass. With Thunderbird we don't have to toggle between accounts, all three are active all of the time.
Also the spam filter works well. It is teachable and seems to do the job.
Also, it seems that I have had an hugh reduction in possible viruses since I switched (maybe I will dump my virus scanner - just kiddin!).
When friends and relatives are having virus issues, one of the first changes I tell them to make is to dump Outlook and load Thunderbird.
The program has great extensions and add-ons available. My favorite is the calendar.
Cons: My only complaint is that I haven't found a calendar that can set-up meetings with Outlook (not Outlook Express) or accept meeting notices from Outlook.

"Proof that sometimes the best things are free!"
Pros: This software is perfect for all users and is heaven-sent (or Mozilla-sent :-) for the more advanced users who want customizable features or run multiple accounts.
As well as having all the features you'd expect in a high quality email client (including an excellent junk mail filter), the software is almost infinitely customizable, thanks to the hundreds of add-ons which can be downloaded from the Mozilla website. Everything from simultaneously checking multiple accounts with one button, to foreign language plug-ins, skins, junk mail reporting and more. This makes it even more superior to some other clients where such high level of customization is not possible.
The software runs very smoothly, does not hog the system, and is extremely stable. It is almost hard to believe that such perfect software is free!
