Pros: A great alternative to Outlook and Outlook Express, customizable, stable, fast.
Cons: Minimize-to-tray Mozilla extension should be included by default as well as the calendar extension.

Pros: This is the best free email client you'll get today. But comparred to Outlook it just fades.
Cons: First of all I couldn't set up my Exchange account.
Second, it is slow, slow as Firefox is, both apps are written in Javascript afterall; you cannot compare the UI speed and response times with the ones from Outlook Express.
And third, it uses lots and lots of memory; Without today's gigs-of-memory fast-computers all this Gecko based apps wouldn't stand a chance.

"Very good, simple mail client."
Pros: T-Bird is easy to set up and use (with an exception noted below). There are a pretty good number of features and mail-handling tools and options. Unlike some free POP clients, it has its own spell-checker. Available extensions can add some functions.
Some are critical of Thunderbird for having no calendar or MS Exchange capabilities, but I think that misses the point. I use Thunderbird because I don't need those features, and prefer something smaller and more streamlined.
Cons: Importing account and server information from Outlook resulted in incomplete and incorrect port and security settings that have to be changed in order for the program to work. That could confuse novices.

Pros: I was using outlook 2000 since last month.I downloaded this program and got surprised to see how much it is better than outlook 2000.Junk mail controls are very good.It is easy to use, making filters is easy.I recommend this to everyone.You can also use extensions and skins.Very good!
