From Tonec:Internet Download Manager is a tool for increasing download speeds by up to 5 times, and for resuming, scheduling, and organizing downloads. The program will resume unfinished downloads due to lost connections, network problems, or unexpected power outages. It can connect to the Internet at a set time, download the files you want, and disconnect or shut down your computer when it's done. It supports FTP, HTTP, and SHTTP protocols, MP3 audio files, and MPEG video-content processing.
Version 4.06 improves the general security of Internet Download Manager, adds several enhancements to the logic of download engine, fixes buffer overflow bug when taking over downloads with long URLs, adds authorization dialog in case authorization information don't match, and improves processing of sites that demand different authorization information.

- "Gracefully become a power downloader"
Don't let the dull name fool you: Internet Download Manager is a full-featured package that handles downloading tasks with aplomb. It conveniently integrates into your browser, even if you use Mozilla or Opera.
It automatically sorts incoming files by file type and puts them in the appropriate folder. Most importantly, it supercharges download speeds (it doubled ours). Its windowed interface is clean and easy to understand. Power users can take advantage of the command line interface to resume file transfers, schedule downloads, connect through dial-up, or log on to password-protected sites. Experienced users also can limit the number of connections, the download speeds for specific sites, and even create an exception list to block specific, user-defined sites.
Other features include automatic virus checking and the ability to download all files linked to a page. The new version has a Web spider that can analyze a site and retrieve, for example, all the images on it.
Internet Download Manager strikes us as a natural choice for users in need of a trusty transfer tool. Version 5.11 build 5 added FLV grabber that can be used to download videos from YouTube, Google Video, MySpaceTV, and other popular sites.

Pros: Its the best download mangar compared to any others.it can make 16 parallel connection for downloading.so downloads will be over in seconds.it will integrate into any brwser like opera,firefox etc.on advance browser integration it will capture any download link.
Cons: Has conflict with zone alarm internet security suite.but can be resolved by turning off advance browser integration

"Download Manager par excellence"
Pros: Have been using IDM for many years now and I can see the developments that have taken place. Its got the best browser integration, its reliable from dial-up to the DSL download freaks. Interface is simple to use. Certain facilities open up after purchase and its clearly worth purchasing.
Cons: Interface even after all these years has remained the same. I would have expected a niftier interface but it works great nevertheless.

"Awesome Can't Say no to this"
Pros: This Download manager is great. It speeds up my download from 15kb/s to 28kb/s. I just downloaded it cause downloads from some sites are slow. I have DSL but this software is awesome. YOu must download it. It organize everything perfectly. It is better than other download accelerator i have used.

"The best download manager ever created"
Pros: Only the download speed & advanced browser integration changed from the 4.05. But it work very very fast & I don't have to wit for downloads. I created a new browser: Flyzilla. IDMan fully integrates in it. Even if u want to install Yahoo! Messenger it can integrate in their installer.
It's a must have. Download it now.
Cons: NONE. I realy mean none.
