Editor's review of IM+ All-in-One-Messenger for BlackBerry
4.0 stars
- "IM with everyone"
IM All-in-One-Messenger is the most established of the three big multiprotocol mobile IM clients, and in many respects the most advanced. Like its rivals, this application supports status messages, alerts and notifications, and customization settings to manage the buddy list, color, and font size (important since the default is small and hard-to-read.) It runs in the background and support emoticons and file-transferring. Yet the new additions that let you IM photos you take with your phone on-the-fly, and a link to voice messages you record through the application make the strongest case to pick IM All-in-One-Messenger over the others. The built-in translator and SMS credit service, which sells text messaging for 5 cents apiece to most countries, are also perks for some.
Although IM All-in-One-Messenger looks a little cleaner than previous versions, the chat experience doesn't flow as well as it could. You can't tab among open conversations, for instance, it's easy to delete the entire text entry field instead of a few characters, and there should be a pop-up button for inserting specialty emoticons right next to the text field instead of having that list buried in a submenu. Despite that, IM All-in-One-Messenger is a strong contender for mobile multinetwork IM with some fun interactive features. For about $30 for the product lifetime, down from $50, the application is finally fully competitive.

Pros: There are no positive comments about this product.
Cons: What idiot would write a software progeam without an executable, automatic download. Could not open this on my Blackberry.
Summary: Do not waste our time. I wasted an hour trying everything to get this to work.
