Fly for Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Russia or the United States in detailed and accurate terrains including Guadalcanal, Midway, The Battle of Britain, and Kursk. Any way you fly it, Fighter Ace is an exhilarating, real-time experience every time you play. Offline play offers eleven training missions, five practice arenas, and three arenas with different flight physics levels.

"Best WWII Fighter Bomber or Attack Action on the Net."
Pros: I've seen some reviews saying it isn't FREE. It Is Free for Two Weeks and unlike some other Free Trials here you have Full Access To All The Rooms. the only thing you can't do is Join a Squad.
There is something here for everyone from Free For All's to Historical Rooms. For instance this Month we will have a Massive 8th Air Force Campaign over France for the Historical Room Event and some of the Weekly Campaigns will be Aleutians 1943 Japanese Vs US, Channel Coast 1943 Great Britain Vs Germany, Barbarossa 1941 Russia Vs Germany, Marianas 1944 US Vs Japan and the list goes on.
If there is some Historical Air Battle you want to fight this is the place.
For the price of a soda per day you can Relive History, set up a Private Room and Fight with your Friends maybe get the Boss in and smack him around a little.
They have Rooms for all skill levels with support all along the way. You won't find Hacks & Cheats you will find a Great Community that's been here for over Six Years and still going strong.
Cons: Steep Learning Curve but you will get plenty of Help. If you Join a Squad they will have you Flying like a Vet in no time.

"Greatest online community on the internet!"
Pros: FREE game software download (approx 500 mb)and a cheap $14.95 a month to play online. Currently offering a ONE MONTH FREE subscription during the month of February when you sign up to give it a try. Live support available, free training classes and lots of weekly events. Several areans to choose from from historical events, dogfighting rooms and territorial conquest rooms as well as multiple levels for each. Best online community anywhere on the ineternet.
Cons: Download is large (approx 500 MB) and can take a bit to download, install and upgrade itself. But, if you have dialup or a slow connection and contact the support people, they will send you a CD to get you going.

Version: Fighter Ace Installer 3.8
Pros: I like it because as well being able to fly bombing or torpedo missions, it let's me do supply missions both with landing at airfields and by dropping supplies or troops by parachute. These supply runs really do affect the outcome of the game.
Cons: The graphics are bit ordinary compared with models in Heroes of the Pacific or IL-2 Pacific Fighters.

"Great WWII online experience!"
Pros: Nothing like going head to head against another live person in a P51 in my Focke Wulf. Sometimes when I stay up late playing, I can't sleep because of the adrenaline still in my blood! And I'm on dialup. Fly fighters, bombers, ground attack, transports, whatever. Re-creation of Historical Scenarios are especially fun.
Cons: Always room for improvement. New/Original folks at Ketsujin are EXTREMELY customoer oriented and want user input. Give it a go - you might get addicted.
