From FastStone Soft:FastStone Image Viewer is a fast, stable, user-friendly image browser, converter and editor. It has a nice array of features that include image viewing, management, comparison, red-eye removal, emailing, resizing, cropping and color adjustments. Its innovative but intuitive full-screen mode provides quick access to EXIF information, thumbnail browser and major functionalities via hidden toolbars that pop up when your mouse touch the four edges of the screen. Other features include a high quality magnifier and a musical slideshow with 150+ transitional effects, as well as lossless JPEG transitions, drop shadow effects, image frames, scanner support, histogram and much more. It supports all major graphic formats (BMP, JPEG, JPEG 2000, animated GIF, PNG, PCX, TIFF, WMF, ICO and TGA) and popular digital camera RAW formats (CRW, CR2, NEF, PEF, RAF, MRW, ORF and DNG).

"I cannot believe that this is freeware. It's awesome."
Pros: FastStone Image Viewer is one of the :
(1)Best laid out, (2)Well thought out, and (3)Slickest programs I have ever used. Absolutely.
I cannot believe that this is freeware..
I have recently used the new ACDSee, and it was INCREDIBLY bloated, slow, and crashed many times. I couldn't believe what a chromed-out disco clown that program was.
So I went back to the Windows picture viewer built into XP (Lesser of 2 evils), and was looking for a small-footprint, low resource viewer and quick editor for my older (Pentium 3 850Mhz) laptop, and found your program -
so good that I quickly installed it on my desktop, a P4 3.6Ghz system, as well as the flash card I keep my Roboform passwords and a copy of Portable Firefox on.. Your option to make a portable version of the program is genius.
I myself write code for PC-Automotive applications, (Have been writing code since I was 12, in 1982) and I found myself humbled. Good job.
Cons: Sometimes when in single pic full screen viewing mode, when you go to the far left edge of the screen (All 4 sides pop out different menus/functions, very unobtrusively), the (Photo Editing) menu will not come up, until you advance tot he next image and then come back. A small annoyance. Also it would be nice to have the option of the program automatically increment the filename by one number or something when saving an edited file so you don't have to do a bunch of "Yes, I really friggin want to do this" confirmations.

Pros: This program is the best pictur,e art, viewer,resizer,magnifyer, Slide show desktop,water marker, etc........Ive used expensive pictures programs and not one was as user friendly. Even most dont have the selection of features that are all sumed up with easy access and operation.Go now! download!

Pros: This product is easy to use with tons of features. Adding music to the slideshow is a nice touch.Access to pictures is a snap once they are savedFor a free editor, this is a winner
Cons: doesn`t have an album feature but that`s ok. there are lots of those available.
