Version: BestCrypt 8.05.6
"genuinely secure - copy files to a container file drive"
Pros: on winXP pc I created a container file thats mounted as a drive, copied to a UNIX box, and used strings command to search container file for password, and searched whole of C: drive (win search inside files), and registry - could not find it
Cons: if you want to copy the container file between home and work, you need to have admin rights on work machine, so you can install bestcrypt program to mount the container file - there may be a way around this I've not explored yet
Summary: I am an IT professional (a UNIX / Linux systems administrator), and in my opinion this s really is VERY VERY good apart from the small con above - I cant understand why the planks in the british governement don't use this to make their files secure w... read more
