"Couldn't connect to internet"
Pros: Free. An ambitious attempt at high-privacy.
Cons: Installed two network adapters that interrupted my internet signal (I have broadband).
Summary: MY LAN provider could not figure out why I was not connecting. They kept asking if I was using a router. In msconfig, PC Tools Firewall Plus Free Edition 4 had installed an I.P. address, which, according to Comcast, was "...not a real I.P. address". ... read more

Pros: As for slowing down your pc? utter garbage, this is the only free firewall that doesnt slow mine down, it all depends on whatever else u have running on your pc i,e Antivirus i guess, i,d still give it a try though ;-)

"Does what I wanted it to do; protect my computer"
Pros: I'm using PC Tools Firewall in conjunction with PC Tools Threat Fire and PC Tools AntiVirus. The three programs were easy to install and with regard to the Firewall, the learning process worked well. I highly recommend the Firewall.
Cons: Frankly, unlike some other "freeware" I've downloaded and installed, this one works very well and I trust it. I can think of no cons.

"DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS.DOWNLOAD ZONE ALARM"
Pros: Nothing is good about this firewall proection
Cons: Almost crashed my computer.It slowed down my computer to almost a complete halt.
Summary: This is a very bad product in my opinion. It may promise best firewall protection but does not do the job. It will slow down your computer to a complete halt read more
